Legislative Commission
The Legislative Commission is responsible for monitoring pending legislation at the federal and state levels that affects higher education, especially relating to student affairs. In addition, the commission monitors issues pending at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The commission coordinates the dissemination of legislative concerns to the membership by means such as articles in the newsletter, presentations at conferences (especially the fall conference during a legislative year), and on the web page. When appropriate, the commission proposes legislative resolutions for action by the TACUSPA Boad of Directors. See the links to web sites of interest on Legislative Issues.

Multicultural Commission
The Multicultural Commission works to bring about a comprehensive educational and socioeconomic diversification of awareness to the Association. The commission periodically assesses the students’ and staff members’ needs and interests pursuant to the minority and special interest concerns. The commission develops programs and publications which address those concerns.

Publications Commission
The Publications Commission is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and layout of three editions of the Student Affairs Chronicle to be printed in December, April, and August. The commission is also responsible for the preparation, coordination, layout and printing of the annual recruitment brochure. In addition, the commission coordinates, as necessary, the printing of TACUSPA letterhead and envelopes.
