    UD is currently seeking a Manager of Graduate Academic Services who will be responsible for managing all activities associated with advising and enrolling graduate business students. This individual will represent the college to students and stakeholders and will advise admitted students and resolve enrollment issues. This position will be held accountable for retention of current students and for providing a high quality of service and responsiveness to students.  The Manager of Graduate Academic Services will have the opportunity to coordinate student communication with regard to relevant advising information and serve as the student advisor for the DBA program.

    Residence Director - Lamar University   

    The Residence Director position is a 12-month live-in position, which reports to the Assistant Director for Residence Life.  The position creates and develops a comprehensive residential experience to residents of a 500-bed residence hall on the campus of Lamar University.  Responsibilities include selection, training, and supervision of student staff to include Resident Assistants and Desk Assistants; planning and executing quality, focused programming; promoting community interaction and student engagement; advising hall council and/or RHA; administering penalties for housing contract violations; adjudicating student conduct cases; responding to emergency and crisis situations; and overall day-to-day operation of one 500-bed residence hall.

    PROJECT DIRECTOR FOR MCNAIR PROGRAM

    Texas Tech University seeks a Project Director for its recently funded Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program, a Federal TRIO Program funded by a five-year grant from the Department of Education (DOE) designed to increase the number of low-income/first-generation college students and students underrepresented in graduate education who pursue and earn Masters and Ph.D. degrees. Project Director will direct and provide leadership for the university’s McNair Scholars Program.

    Position Requirements: 

    • -          Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling, or Public Administration from an accredited college/university.  Ph.D. preferred;
    • -          Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the areas of staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation, and reporting and compliance with federal regulations;
    • -          Minimum of two years of experience with federal TRIO programs or similar support programs for underrepresented college students;
    • -          Experience coordinating and supervising Project programming;
    • -          Experience advising and assisting students with Graduate School admissions and financial aid process; and
    • -          Professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting Project Participants.

    Experience working with diverse student groups is highly desirable.

    JOB DESCRIPTION 

    UD is currently seeking an Admission Counselor to recruit qualified students for admission and enrollment to the University of Dallas within assigned territory. This individual will have the opportunity to travel to off-campus recruitment events, evaluate application files for admission decisions, meet with students in person, conduct on-campus admission presentations to groups of students/ parents, and contact students and parents via phone, email and mail. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

     Nurture, build, and sustain ongoing professional relationships with prospective students and those who influence them to achieve assigned enrollment management objectives. 

     Research the potential for travel and recruiting programs, develop a plan for off-campus activities to achieve enrollment management objectives most effectively, present this plan for the Director’s approval, and then execute the approved plan within the approved budget. 

     Monitor the inquiry, prospect, application, and deposit numbers to focus on attaining assigned objectives. 

     Ensure that all inbound and outbound communication with prospects and applicants is recorded using office protocol. 

     Evaluate applications for admission and make each admit/deny decision using discretionary professional judgment about the applicant’s academic preparation, academic work ethic, and fit for the academic programs at the University of Dallas. 

     Communicate with prospective students about financial aid, financial resources, and how to pay for college.

    PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
