    UD is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Dean who will serve as the first contact for internal and external contacts for the College performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative and clerical support duties.  This individual will have the opportunity to work independently within the University and College of Business policies and procedures.


           Schedule and manage meetings for the Dean and coordinate a variety of complex executive meetings and college-wide meetings.

           Coordinate events, including conferences, seminars and conference calls including event planning, organization, and execution of college activities, and manage all meeting details such as room reservations, preparing agendas, securing necessary IT equipment, initializing presentations, catering, and attendee updates.

           Prepare domestic and international travel arrangements including air, hotel, ground transportation and itineraries for the Dean.

           Review, assess, route, and monitor the Dean’s correspondence and emails as requested.

           Prepare draft letters and some presentations, and review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents.

           Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, follow through on issues in a timely manner.

           Serves as principal point of contact and source of information for customers of the Dean’s office including faculty, students, staff, and external guests.

           Maintain and protect highly confidential information and communicate information within scope of authority.

    ·        High school diploma plus two years of college or equivalent work experience required.

    ·        Four years of experience in a professional office setting supporting senior leadership in a growing organization.

    ·        Proficiency in current Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


    ·        Bachelor’s degree.


    ·        This individual will directly report to the Manager of Administrative Operations.

    ·        This position is often the initial contact of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business Dean’s office to internal and external stakeholders and must maintain a cheerful, professional, and flexible demeanor in a busy office setting.

    Operations Manager for Setzer Student Center

    This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Scheduling, Operations & Event Services (AD-SOES) of the Setzer Student Center (SSC) and is responsible for programmatic and A/V technical support needs of featured venues in Setzer Student Center as well as providing support to the Assistant Director to manage evenings and weekend shifts of the student operations managers.     • SUMMARY:

      The Assistant Director of Leadership Engagement and Development is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a multi-year/multi-tier leadership program that encompasses emerging leaders through the senior year experience and beyond.  The position is responsible for increasing student engagement and leadership involvement by developing and implementing creative ways to involve students in leadership development, education and service opportunities.


      • Assists Director in developing, enhancing and delivering campus wide leadership initiatives.
      • Coordinates all Dare to Roar Community Service programs including Operation Blue & Gold Day of Service and Alternative Spring Break Trips.
      • Oversees Leadership National Honor Society.
      • Supervises student intern.
      • Works in close collaboration with Campus Life and Student Development, Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management to promote comprehensive and intentional workshops and retreats.
      • Coordinates the recruitment, selection, logistics, training and evaluation of Extraordinary leadership Series
      • Oversees budgetary items for leadership conferences, programs, and community service events, including maintaining a university procurement card.
      • Assists Director in implementing and maintaining social media and traditional marketing strategies.
      • Utilizes CAS, EBI and other assessments to insure that our students’ leadership opportunities meet or exceed national standards.

      • Education: Master’s Degree in higher education, leadership, student personnel, education administration or related field

Knowledge of theoretical models of leadership, college student development and issues related to first-year students and students in transition.
      • Knowledge / Skills: Experience with sound mentoring theory and application. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a broad constituency, including administrators, faculty, staff, students and parents. Must value diversity and possess ability to work with other from different backgrounds. Must model strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in problem-solving.
