Assistant Director, Multicultural Affairs & LGBTQA Program

Job Summary:

Assist in facilitating cultural programming, social justice education, and multicultural leadership development, and LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and Ally) Program initiatives for Multicultural Affairs.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration or College Student Personnel. 1 year experience working with underrepresented student populations in a higher education environment. 1 year experience working with LGBTQ+ populations in a higher education environment or the equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively and establish collaborative working relationships with diverse faculty, staff, and students in order to develop effective programming. Experience with advising college students and student organizations especially culturally based groups. Understanding and practical application of student development theories/research with an emphasis on underrepresented student development and retention. Experience producing departmental reports and assessment. Experience with teaching and training related to diversity and social justice education. Experience in budget management.
